Tony and Family, such a wonderful gesture of remembrance... I am saying a silent birthday prayer for Reyna from my work cubicle (not very romantic but prayerfully functional).

Just read all these beautiful memories of Reyna for the second time, with tears in my eyes. Steven, yours really got to me. Your Mom was truly a ray of sunlight in a sometimes dreary world. She made everything seem "possible." Miss her so much. Wish I could sit down and have a cup of coffee with her right now. Love you, Reyna. Love and peace to your wonderful family.

Reyna, we had a memorial wreath in our choir section for you, Jim and Claire. You all brought so much life to the choir and we sure miss you.

Your mother, our leader!! She was such a motivator. We miss her very much too. I would say how can we do it, and one way or another she would find a way. She was UNBELIVABLE!!

I am thankful to have so many great memories of Reyna. I remember when I was a teenager and she was giving me advise about boys. she told me picking out a boyfriend is like shopping for clothes. when you shop for clothes and if the clothes do not fit or look right then you leave it at the store but if you find something that looks good on you and you feel good, then you take it home. same for boys. I really miss her

Ginny,
Thanks for giving us the chance to share our memories of you Mom. I was honored to have her as a friend. My first memory of Reyna was when she walked into the art studio in Southgate, where I was teaching. She became my art student and then my very good friend. I swear, in the end, she taught me so much more than I could ever offer her. I love her so much and will never, ever forget her. Peace and Love to you and your family.
Love,

Reyna was always a very engaging and supportive person; someone who it was difficult to say no to. She called and asked me to be a model in OLW Women's Group's fashion show. Reyna was so persuasive, I couldn't say no even though I really didn't want to do it. It turned out well.

Reyna was a special lady. I remember my 1st Advent Tea last year with her ethuasism and outreach to so many people. Spring 2010, she suggested being Co-President of OLCW with her. I think of her often. I miss her. Feliz Navidad.

Ginny,
I'll always remember what a dertermined woman your mom was. When my parent's needed help fixed their house in Michigan to get it sold. She was determined to help. She and Mr. Salinas helped get that old house back into shape and my parents were able to sell it so we could buy a home here in Texas. Not only was she funny and full of life...she was ONE DETERMINED Lady! We miss her.

I was truly blessed to have known Reyna through Our Lady of the Woods Christian Women's Group. She was always wanting someone to chair a committee but she would always say "You can do it. I'll help you." She was such a giving person. She is truly missed. Merry CHRISTmas to you all.

My favorite memory of your wonderful Mom was when you all attended Mark's wedding up in Saginaw almost 19 years ago and I have picture of Mark, your mom and I laughing our butts off at something your mom must have said and we all had our legs up showing off our shoes - Mark in a tux with his tennis shoes. Good times always when Reyna was around. She brought joy whereever she went. She is missed by so many. Merry Christmas to you and your family. My prayers are with you all - especially your dad.

So many memories come to mind from your wonderful mom... from the time she had this pimple-burning machine in your garage and she 'asked' me to sit down to electrocute my 15 yrs old pimples while saying "no sea maricon mihijito, no le va a doler"... to the time when she came to Florida with your dad and wanted a coconut and made me cut the coconut at night with a machete (Mexican style) in the parking lot of their fancy apartment; I was really worried that any of the neighbors would call the police; but she didn't care, she was determined to have fresh coconut! Above all, she had the ability to bring out the best of everyone and make you feel just happy to be around her. I miss her a lot but I know she's smiling as always since she had a life full of love and joy. Merry Christmas to you all! Carlitos

I miss how Mom would come inside from the cold, and put her cold hands up the back of my shirt, and I would get so upset, until I turned around to see that ENORMOUS & WONDERFUL smile that lit up the room, and then she would give me a big hug. I miss her so much. I think about her every single day also, and when I see sunlight peeking through on a cloudy day, I know she's up there just saying hi. I love her, and I love you Gin. Thank you for keeping "Reyna's Fight" going. Merry Christmas everyone. I love you

Ginny,
Seems like your mom was a real special lady on this Earth, and that she left a special legacy. I missed out on the office flowers, but still felt that I wanted to do something in her memory. I made a donation to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Foundation in her name as you've requested.
I couldn't help with Reyna's own fight, but maybe we all can help the next person a little with their battle against terrible diseases.
Continued blessings, to you and yours.

Do not stand at my grave and forever weep.
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn’s rain.
When you awaken in the morning’s hush

Cheslick family,
My heart and prayers are with you in this time of saddness. It is hard to think the person that brought so many of us smiles, laughter, advise and so much more is no longer here but we all know she is no longer in pain and in a better place. We love her and will miss her dearly as she will never be forgotten in our thoughts and prayers. We love you all and send you hugs to confort you in these days to follow. We are not able to accompany you in the celebration of Reynas new adventure but please know that we will be with you in prayer.
Thank you for keeping us posted on her progress throughout her battle. I know it was difficult to write because at times it was difficult to read. We appreciated that you were able to include us, it made those who were not able to be with her at least be with here in spirit.
May God bless you and keep you strong.

A Tear And A Smile for Reyna
I would not exchange the sorrows of my heart
For the joys of the multitude.
And I would not have the tears that sadness makes
To flow from my every part turn into laughter.
I would that my life remain a tear and a smile.
A tear to purify my heart and give me understanding
Of life's secrets and hidden things.
A smile to draw me nigh to the sons of my kind and
To be a symbol of my glorification of the gods.
A tear to unite me with those of broken heart;
A smile to be a sign of my joy in existence.
I would rather that I died in yearning and longing than that I live Weary and despairing.
I want the hunger for love and beauty to be in the
Depths of my spirit, for I have seen those who are
Satisfied the most wretched of people.
I have heard the sigh of those in yearning and Longing, and it is sweeter than the sweetest melody.
With evening's coming the flower folds her petals
And sleeps, embracingher longing.
At morning's approach she opens her lips to meet
The sun's kiss.
The life of a flower is longing and fulfilment.
A tear and a smile.
The waters of the sea become vapor and rise and come
Together and area cloud.
And the cloud floats above the hills and valleys
Until it meets the gentle breeze, then falls weeping
To the fields and joins with brooks and rivers to Return to the sea, its home.
The life of clouds is a parting and a meeting.
A tear and a smile.
And so does the spirit become separated from
The greater spirit to move in the world of matter
And pass as a cloud over the mountain of sorrow
And the plains of joy to meet the breeze of death
And return whence it came.
To the ocean of Love and Beauty----to God.

No tengas miedo, deja tu coraza dañada y dañina. ¡Regocíjate, pues Él te dará una nueva, hermosa y eterna!
Tu afortunada ahijada,
